Abstract The online real-time particle size analysis of the microencapsules manufacturing process using continuous solvent evaporation method was performed focused beam reflectance measurement (FBRM). In this paper, we use FBRM measurements to investigate effects polymer type and compare distributions those obtained other sizing methods such as optical microscope laser diffraction. also utilized measure length-weighted chord length distribution (CLD) (PSD) during solidification, which could not be done with diffraction or nested sieve analysis. lengths CLD data were taken at specific times an probe mounted below microparticle. timing determinations coordinated selection microparticle samples for by calculation a reference. For all three produced batches tested, FBRM, diffraction, yielded similar results.
